Mr. John Dirtfellow raises Helmet beetles deep in his subterranean ranch. For Mr. Dirtfellow, it is a thankless job, because the beetles are too tough to eat and yet too lackadaisical to make good pets.
I've been busy. Really busy. Painting. For weeks. The experience has been challenging, exhausting, productive, beautiful. I'll post more paintings later, but for now, meet Josh.
Josh is gouache on watercolor board, approximately 5" x 10". Josh might have the honor of being entered in the Fur Ball art competition taking place in a few weeks, but I haven't made my final selections yet.
Wish me luck!
Special thanks to my cousin, Joycie. She generously scanned in all of my recent work, which was a tremendous help. She also cooked a delicious dinner (homemade vegetarian split pea soup and corn bread), oy vey! Thanks, Joycie, you're awesome.
