The dragon and the herald

The dragon and the herald began as two different doodles in a graph paper notebook. Thanks to the new GIMP skills I learned over my holiday, the graph paper lines are gone, and the dragon meets this would-be hero at last.

What happens next?

Does the fairy escape? Or does the bird get a snack?

I like dragons. Today I watched a "documentary" about dragons. When it turned out to be creationist propaganda, I switched to Empire of the Ants (which was somewhat more believable.)
